National Museum of Contemporary Art
Contemporary art museum with temporary exhibitons and permanent displays from its own collection of 5,000 works by Norwegian and international artists.
Visitors can see five permanent installations:

halls and staterooms and a chapel used for royal
events. The chapel holds the crypts of King Haakon
VII and King Olav V. The Defence Museum and the
Resistance Museum are located in the same area.

National Museum - Architecture
Museum of architecture that explores contemporary and historical themes through drawings, photographs and models.
The main building, designed by Christian Heinrich Grosch, was completed in 1830. It was adapted and extended by Sverre Fehn before opening as a museum in 2008.
Museum at Akershus Fortress that shows Norwegian military history from Viking times until the 21st century. Important themes include the union with Denmark until 1814, the union with Sweden until 1905, the German attack on Norway in 1940 and the sea battles during World War II. Café with fresh baked goods.
