Molde, the town of roses, has been visited by cruise ships since 1882, when tourist came to the area to relax and take in the stunning scenery. From the viewpoint Varden you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic views over fjords, isles and 222 snowy peaks. Situated close to both the ocean and the tall mountains, the area offers a varied and dramatic landscape. Cruise ships dock in the town center, great for independent exploration as well as a variety of excursions.

The Atlantic Road zigzags across bridges and islands, to the point where the land and the ocean meets the fjord. One of the National Tourist Roads in Norway. Amazing on a sunny day, and dramatic in stormy weather. Voted Norwegian Structure of the Century and the world’s most beautiful road trip!

Romsdal Museum & Folk Dance

The Romsdal Museum was established in 1912 and portrays buildings and interiors from the whole region. Located in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, the open air museum is one of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway. The museum has a folk-dance group where local children dance the traditional dances wearing their national costumes.
Naas Marble Caves

Naas Marble Caves

Explore the mystical Marble caves at Naas! The caves are a result of mining operations, and have been active since 1938. In other parts of the mountain, the mining operation is still ongoing. Today, the area where the caves are located function as a concert venue, as well as a tourist attraction in itself. A boat ride into the caves offers visitors a unique and peaceful experience.

Håholmen Viking Ship Sailing

Sail on a Viking ship to the Norwegian adventurer Ragnar Thorseth’s island of Håholmen. Håholmen is an original fishing village from the 18th century, and the wharfs, traditional fishermen’s shacks and bakery remains. The island is located just outside of the Atlantic Road. The Atlantic Road zigzags across bridges and islands and was voted Norwegian Structure of the Century and the world’s most beautiful road trip!

Enjoy the breathtaking view of 222 mountain peaks, and trails leading in many directions right from town. The guide from Molde Adventure Center guides you on your way and ensures a safe and fun experience. This is a great family activity.

Trollstigen and Trollveggen

An exceptional driving experience along a route steeped in tradition, through scenery with deep fjords and lush valleys. On the way we pass Trollveggen, the tallest vertical rock face in Europe, stretching up to 1788 m. Stop at Trollstigen Gjestegård for lunch and visit the Trolls that reside there. Trollstigen is one of the National Tourist Routes in Norway.
