Visnes Mining Museum

Visnes Mining Museum
By 1895 Visnes was one of Europe’s most prolific copper mining areas, and the Statue of Liberty in New York is clad in copper produced from this area. The museum tells the story of the mining community and shows the work methods they used. It is located in the picturesque surroundings of the Fransehagen gardens, crossed by bridleways and footpaths.
