A glimpse into the past – World War Two

A glimpse into the past – World War Two
Photo Visit Haugesund
One of Norway’s largest World War II museums, Arquebus Museum. Covering more than 2000 m2, the museum takes the visitor through the dramatic history of the occupation on April 9th up to the liberation in 1945. There are several scenes from the war depicted by using vehicles, equipment, and even a reconstructed street!

On the return trip we recommend to combining the trip with a visit to Steinsfjellet mounten, a nearby summit that commands a panoramic view of Haugesund and the North Sea.
