Hunting for the Northern Light

Duration 2 hours: We are driving whit a bus around in Harstad and the area to hunt for the beautiful Northern Light. When we see the Northern Light, we will stop and take pictures. A professional photographer will join the tour, and teach you how to take pictures of the Northern Lights whit your camera.Warm drink and bisques will be served. Bring your camera! Aurora Summit Lounge

Come with us to Solli mountain, where we have set up our Aurora Summit Lounge on the top, 535 meters above sea level. We transport you to the summit by snowmobiles and sleds, dressed in a warm snowsuit. On the top of the mountain you have the chance to experience the dancing Aurora Borealis. Inside our summit lounge you can keep warm by the big bonfire.

Concert in the world’s oldest stone church

The northernmost stone church, Trondenes Church dating from late Middle Ages (1250). One of the foremost cultural heritages in Norway from this period, it houses several artifacts, and has a beautiful interior. Situated in lovely surroundings by the shore on the Trondenes peninsula.

Duration:3,5 hours. Experience the Sami culture at Harstad wildlife center only 10 minutes from the city. Here we have a lavvo (Sami tent) with a big bonfire that will keep you warm. During a visit to Harstad wildlife center you are taken on a journey into the Sami, you get an insight into an historical and exciting culture.

The Trondenes Peninsula is historically important; it was once the seat of a Viking Chief and later it was occupied by the Germans during World War II. Visit the world’s northernmost stone church, the Trondenes Church, dating back to the late middle ages (1250).
